Warren Beatty (born Henry Warren Beatty in 1937) is an American actor and director.
Beatty directed the 1990 Dick Tracy feature film, in which he also starred as Dick Tracy. He subsequently produced the Dick Tracy Special for television in 2010, where he appeared as the character again. He reprised the role again for a TV special made in 2022 called Dick Tracy: Tracy Zooms In.
Beatty's production company retains the film rights to Dick Tracy, which is one of the factors that has resulted in a sequel not yet being produced.
