Toodles was the pet rat owned by Mrs. Pruneface. It lived in the crawlspace of her secluded home, but would often be attracted to the squeaking of Mrs. Pruneface's rocking chair.
Toodles ate the food that was spilled by the captive Dick Tracy. Tracy found the rat unsettling.
Toodles was apparently abandoned when Mrs. Pruneface and Emil left Tracy in the house to die as a victim of the ice block death trap.
