It seems that both Pear Shape Tone and Nellie have poor memories..when Tracy under a alias stops by Pear Shape office and surrepesouly Lifts a "Correspondence course" {for comparsion of one from Mrs waldo Room, neither Tone or Nellie recognized Dick Tracy-despite the fact that Tracy picture has appeared on the front Page of his local newspaper {i.e. Flattop Jones story} ! Likewise when Tracy disguises himself as a chauafeur {with Sam Cathem in drag} neither Tone nor Nellie still do not recognize Tracy; lastly after Sam is captured after Tone finds his Police ID, Tone is still puzzled why Sam is doing there and still doesnt realize Tracy is on his trail! Apparently both crooks have very poor short term memories ...or its connunity error on part of the cartoonist...
When Pear Shape is running from his office, he remarks he cant shoot Mugg the dog because he has lost his gun...yet when he telephones Pedro for his getaway he is seen holding his gun-which he had lost...!
