Rod Bender was a professional underworld killer who was hired to kill Dick Tracy. He had dark hair and a round face.
Bender and an accomplice attempted to plant a bomb in Tracy's car, but they were caught and arrested by Tracy and Sam Catchem.
Bender was especially strong and had the ability to bend an automobile rod in his hands.
