Pierre was the maitre'd at The Painted Lady, a nightclub in Dick Tracy's city. He had thin dark hair and a moustache.
When the owner of The Painted Lady was murdered, the courts ordered that the nightclub be shut down. Pierre had a high opinion of his employer, and hoped that her killer would be brought to justice.
The police later speculated that Pierre might be able to provide information about who Miss Intro was with on the night that she was murdered, but apparently this was not pursued.
