Nort was a member of Jojo Nidle's railroad robbery gang.
After Nidle's failed cigarette heist, he contacted the remaining members of his gang by telephone. Nort answered Nidle's call, and informed him of a potential automobile tire robbery that the gang could commit.

- Nort was depicted only in shadow and in the company of two other members of Jojo Nidle's gang. It cannot be confirmed if he was the unnamed gang member who joined Nidle and Spider in the tire robbery (which would make Nort the man who killed Marshal Wilkie Wilkinson).
- It is not known how big Jojo Nidle's gang was. The first time members of the gang appeared in the strip, most of the members were depicted in silhouette and none of them were addressed by name. It is possible that Nort was among them, but this cannot be confirmed.
