Killer was an associate of Scardol. He had narrow dark eyes and a ruddy complexion. He typically wore a checkered overcoat and a dark bowler hat.
Scardol suspected that his associate Mickey Gainer was disinclined to engage in the level of violence that Scardol's robbery schemes required, so he recruited Killer as an additional member of the gang. The trio committed a robbery that was intended to lure the police (led by Dick Tracy) into a trap.
Leading the police to an abandoned barn, Scardol and Killer shot at the officers as they entered. Tracy survived but was injured, as was Pop Gainer (who had come to try to convince his son to give up his criminal ways). Scardol, Killer, and Mickey took Tracy and Pop to a building site where a new dam was being constructed. They bound the two men with ropes and planned to smother them in wet cement.
The criminals' activity was detected by the night watchman, who subdued Killer. Scardol then died when he fell into the wet cement himself after Mickey freed his father and Tracy. Killer's ultimate fate is unknown.
Notes[]
- At one point, Scardol addressed Killer as "Vin". It was not established if this was Killer's real name or an alias that Scardol was using to conceal Killer's identity.
