Dick Tracy Wiki

Cellphone led a group of criminals known as the High-Tech Gang that pirated movies and other media. He had kinky dark hair and a lined face. He had a habit of carrying several mobile phones and talking on more than of them at a time.

Cellphone was an inconsiderate, temperamental man. He was known to be willing to use violence or the threat of violence to achieve his goals.

Cellphone's Schemes[]

Cellphone's organization changed tactics quickly to avoid detection. When street vendors selling his pirated DVDs attracted the attention of police, he shifted to selling his products over the phone. When that operation was shut down, Cellphone was prevented from shipping his remaining supply of pirated DVD overseas by police presence at the docks. He ordered his underlings to dispose of the discs at the city dump.

Cellphone then embarked on a scheme to engage in industrial espionage. He targeted Diet Smith industries and sent his associates Burner and Laptop to get jobs in the facility. Their plan was for Laptop to distract the security personnel while Burner transmitted confidential information to Cellphone's associate Download. The data would then be decrypted by Mr. Pixel, another member of Cellphone's gang.

Unbeknownst to Cellphone, Mr. Pixel sent an e-mail to Dick Tracy and the MCU informing them of the scheme. While Cellphone's headquarters in an antique store was being raided by police, Tracy joined Diet Smith at his offices and apprehended Burner and Laptop. Cellphone was able to avoid capture and went to confront Download and Mr. Pixel.

Cellphone brandished a gun at Download and Pixel. Download attacked him and the two men grappled. As they struggled, Cellphone's phone signal was detected by Diet Smith's experimental disruptor device. Dick Tracy called Cellphone and warned him to surrender to police. Cellphone refused, and he and Download continued to fight. Smith's disruptor sent a powerful electric charge to Cellphone's phone which electrocuted him and Download. Pixel escaped and remains at-large.
